Affiliate disclosure

smolplants.com participates in affiliate programs. If you click a link to a retailer and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.

Which links are affiliate links

Any link in this table or marked as a shop link is an affiliate link and carries rel="sponsored nofollow". Programs in use:

• The Sill affiliate program
• Bloomscape affiliate program
• Amazon Associates

Links to our own guides are never affiliate links. There are no display ads on this site and no sponsored posts.

What this does and does not affect

It does not affect the advice. Plants are recommended because they survive indoors, and they are listed as poor choices when they do not — the succulent trio we tell you to separate immediately is sold by the same retailers we earn from. Where a cheaper or free option works better (a plastic nursery pot instead of a terracotta one, pebbles in a tray instead of a humidifier) we say so.

We do not accept payment for placement, and no retailer reviews or approves anything on this site.

Cookies

Affiliate links may set a cookie when you click them so the retailer can attribute a later purchase. Those cookies are set by the retailer's own domain, not by smolplants.com. See privacy.

This disclosure follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials, which requires affiliate relationships to be disclosed clearly and near the link, not only on a separate page. That is why the buying guide repeats it.
